I contacted my insurance and they gave me specific companies that I could go through. I then went on those company websites , found the pump I liked and contacted them and they had me send a prescription from my doctor to them and once I did that, I ordered the pump I wanted and received it in 2 days! I got the Medela Advanced pump - a couple of my friends used it and loved it.
I went with the company Aeroflow to get my Medela Pump in Style Advanced Starter Kit. It actually arrived today. They do all the work for you. They call your insurance & get your prescription from your doctor. You just have to answer a few questions and it should be at your doorstep fairly quick. I was very pleased with their service & quick turn around.
I have anthem insurance. They have me the link to edgepark.com where I ordered from a list that my insurance covered. Received it in 2-3 business days and zero paperwork
I have Anthem as well. I called a few months back and they told me to call 30 days from due date. They didn't mention a choice in brands, but they send it to you but not before 30 days out. I'll be calling back to verify as things often change. Hope this helps!
I have Anthem too! Call Anthem and find out who the in-network medical supply companies are. You can get a pump at no cost as long as you stay in-network. Then just start seeing what kinds of pumps each medical supply company offers and take your pick! I have to order mine 30 days prior to my due date to get the pump I want which is the Medela Freestyle. Good luck!!!!
I have anthem blue cross and was told I could get whatever I wanted and it would be reimbursed.... not sure if it's the same though .
